Care Instructions

Maggie came home from her surgery with a package of information that included post surgery care instructions.  The instructions say "Keep Maggie quiet for the next 2 weeks".  Uh Huh.  Maggie is obviously feeling much better today because she is not really obeying the care instructions.  She was trying her hardest to get me to play ball with her and was teasing Bosley with the Kong.
Her incision is looking much better today too.  The bruising is starting to go away and the swelling is going down.  She will need to get her stitches out in a couple weeks (I counted over 30 of them).

  1. Berners are so hard to keep under control! We found that out many times with our girl after her TPLO; she just wanted to go, go, go!!
It is so great to hear that Maggie is in that "just wanna have fun" mode! She must be so happy to be living a normal crazy life again!

  3. Awwww... we don't know how you are going to keep Maggie from not wanting to run and play for 2 whole weeks. At least she is feeling good enough to play which makes us real happy!

    Hang in there sweet girl!

  4. Keeping any dog quiet is hard. My chihuahua has both her knees fixed and no running, jumping and only short leash walks for 6 weeks. You would think it would be to painful to do all those things. Nope! After 3 days she was ready to go. It was a long 6 weeks. Diana
