Just because the information is available does not mean you can take it & use it. The only people with the right to do this is the owners of the dog & information.<br />It has nothing to do with whether breeders are open or not, there is no legal requirement that they enter their dogs information. The biggest problem with BG is the lack of security of the information, anyone can view & change the information & this is unacceptable.Fizzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04874390908057580644noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2714202870427585969.post-91351363114237813932015-03-12T19:39:52.572-06:002015-03-12T19:39:52.572-06:00I had heard that the Flatcoat club has a database ...I had heard that the Flatcoat club has a database too. That is wonderful! The Bernese database has 100% open access and no one needs to be a member of any club to view or add data. There is a lot of education about the site and a bit of peer pressure among the responsible breeders to submit data, especially health clearances. it is so wonderful to have access to health and pedigree information all in one place. Very few people remember to go there and even put in when their dog has passed away never mind how they passed away. I find it very interesting to go and look at siblings of dogs as well as litter mates etc, in our club you must be a member of the Am Flatcoat club to gain access however, good for you for updating yours! onecolliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08786202513090606338noreply@blogger.com
